Co-founded by two of Hawai‘i’s own James Beard Award-winning chefs, Roy Yamaguchi and Alan Wong, the Festival in Maui, Honolulu, and Ko Olina Resort will showcase wine tastings, cooking demonstrations, one-of-a-kind excursions, and exclusive dining opportunities with dishes highlighting the state’s bounty of local produce, seafood, beef and poultry.

Festival co-chairs plan to expand the festival to all of the major Hawaiian Islands by 2016.

The festival will open with a sit-down gala at the Waikoloa Resort on the Big Island, in partnership with the Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort and Hilton Waikoloa Village.

he Hawaii Food and Wine Festival will feature more than 80 internationally-renowned chefs and culinary professionals and experiences highlighting ingredients local to Hawaii. Each participating chef will showcase his or her talents using locally-sourced ingredients and will create dishes inspired by Hawaii’s culinary and cultural traditions.

“With more than half the agricultural lands in Hawaii on the Big Island, there will certainly be a diversity of local products for our chefs to choose from,” Wong said. “WIth local beef, coffee, abalone and kampachi sourced from Hawaii Island, we look forward to seeing some great innovation and creativity from our guest chefs.”
